DHAKA, June 28, 2026 (BSS) - Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) central joint-general secretary Md Tariqul Islam Tarique has extended financial assistance to a meritorious female student, helping her secure admission to Rabindra University after financial hardship  that  threatened to halt her academic journey.

The student, from Gaibandha district, earned a place in the Bengali Department at Rabindra University, Sirajganj, for the 2025–26 academic sessions.

However, severe financial hardship left her family unable to pay the admission fees, putting her dream of higher education at risk.

In this situation, Tarique came forward to assist her. This afternoon, he sent the required admission fees through a mobile banking service, ensuring she could complete her admission process tomorrow (Monday).

Expressing her gratitude, the student said, “I was deeply worried as we could not arrange the admission fees, and I scared off my dream of studying at a university was over.

Tarique bhai stood beside me at that critical juncture of my academic life .

His support has not only allowed me to get admitted but has also given me the courage to look forward to the future.”

“I came to know about her struggle through a student leader from her home district, Gaibandha. After speaking with her over the phone to confirm the situation, I decided to take responsibility for her admission. A meritorious student's future should not be cut short simply due to a lack of money.”

Tariqe told BSS,He added that the true purpose of politics is to serve and stand by the people, expressing hope that more affluent members of society would come forward to support underprivileged, talented students.
