DHAKA, July 10, 2026 (BSS) - Jatrabari Police arrested 29 people involved in various criminal activities during a special operation conducted across the Jatrabari area of the capital on Thursday. 

According to a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release issued here today, two were arrested apprehended on outstanding arrest warrants, 22 were on mobile court orders and five were in pending cases.

It said the arrested are Golam Sarwar (42), Saidul Islam Sohag (32), Sajal (35), Md Rakib Hossain (23), Md Rabiul Hasan alias Nabi Hossain (20), Arif (35), Md Rifat (24), Md A Mannan (19), Rubel (37), Md Iqbal Hossain (28), Bimal Chandra Das (50), Aqib (22), Suruj Mudha (21), Md Muslim (48), Md Yusuf (35), Mamun (45), Md Nazrul (49), Md Shukkur Ali (45), Md Shakil (33), Md Hadam Molla (37), Mansoor Ali (38), Md Shakil (20), Md Muktakim (25), Md Salim (55), Md Rocky (28), Robin (20), Monarul (42), Md Omar Farooq (30) Md Noor Nabi (42). 

Police said such special drives will continue to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the area. 

Legal procedure against them is underway.
