Young Tigresses beat Scotland to confirm Super 6 of T20 WC

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 22, 2025 (BSS) — The Bangladesh Women’s Under-19 team beat Scotland by 18 runs in their last group match in the ICC T20 World Cup in Selangor, Malaysia today.

The victory confirmed their Super 6 phase. Bangladesh started their campaign beating Nepal by five wickets before tasting a heartbreaking two-wicket defeat to Australia.

Skipper Sumaiya Akter made an unbeaten 29 off 36 balls as Bangladesh put up 121-9.  Leg spinner Anisa Akter Shova then claimed four wickets for 25 runs to help Bangladesh restrict Scotland to 103-8.

The Super 6 stage will feature two groups of six teams. Two from each group will move to the semi-final.
