KHULNA, Jan 23, 2025 (BSS) - The 10th Inter-discipline volleyball competition began at Khulna University (KU) campus playground today.

KU Vice-chancellor Prof Rejaul Karim inaugurated the competition organized by its Physical Education division.

A total of 29 male teams, one each from the 29 disciplines, and 25 female teams are taking part in the tournament.

Registrar Prof Mahubur Rahman and Students Affairs Director Prof Nazmus Sadat, among others, were present on the occasion.

On the opening day, seven matches of male teams and two female teams were held.  

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Rejaul Karim said there is no alternative to sports for physical and mental flourishing of the students. So, all the students should take part in sports side by side with curricular activities.
