DHAKA, Jan 25, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Under-19 Women's team will face off India in the first match of the Super Six Group 1 of the ongoing ICC U-19 Women's T20 World Cup at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow.

Bangladesh earlier beat Nepal and Scotland to finish Group D as runners-up and confirmed the Super Six phase. They only lost to Australia in the group phase, that too by just two wickets.

Apart from India, they will take on West Indies in the Super Six clash at the same venue on Tuesday.

India topped in Group A with three wins in as many matches while West Indies ended third in the same group with one win from three matches.

According to the tournament fixtures, the second-placed team from Group D will play against first and third-placed teams of Group A in their Super Six Group 1 matches. The other three teams in Group 1 are Australia, Sri Lanka and Scotland.

As per the tournament rules, Bangladesh will carry two points into the next round after they beat Scotland in their final group-stage match.
India and Australia will carry four points after being the Group A and D champions, while Sri Lanka will carry two points like Bangladesh as Group A runners-up.

West Indies and Scotland, both of whom finished third, won't carry any points into the next round.

Super Six Group 2 comprises South Africa, England, USA, Nigeria, Ireland and New Zealand.

The top two teams from each Super Six Group will qualify for the semifinals, scheduled on January 31 while the final will take place on February 2.
