DHAKA, April 29, 2025 (BSS)- Gazi Group Cricketers finished third in the 
Dhaka Premier League (DPL) after securing a five-wicket win over Agrani Bank 
Cricket Club in their last match at BKSP-4 ground.
 
They won seven matches in the group phase and three in the Super Six phase, 
taking their points to 20 from 16 matches.

Abahani Limited clinched the title with 28 points while Mohammedan became 
runners-up with 24 points.

Opting to bat first, Agrani Bank were wrapped up for 201 in 46.1 overs with 
opener Amite Hasan making highest 49. Aminul Islam Biplob claimed 4-22 for 
Gazi Group.

Gazi Group, however, reached 203-5 for a victory in 44 overs with Shovon 
Morol making team-high 42.

In the day's other match, Legends of Rupganj beat Gulshan Cricket Club by six 
wickets to finish fourth in the league with a total of 19 points. Gulshan 
achieved fifth spot with 17 points while Agrani are in sixth with 16 points.

At BKSP-3 ground, Gulshan were bowled out for 232 in 49.5 overs after opting 
to bat first. Naeem Islam made top-scorer with 87.

Mehedi Maruf hit a 113 ball-100 not out as Legends overhauled the target with 
233-4 in 40.4 overs.
