Three matches of BPL football to be held tomorrow

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - Three matches of Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football will be held tomorrow at three separate venues across the country.

On the day, league leader Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on Fortis Football Club at Bashundhara Kings arena practice ground, Bashundhara Kings will face Brothers Union Club at Birshreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj, Dhaka Wanderers Club will meet Chittagong Abahani Limited at Mymensingh district Stadium in Mymensingh.

All the matches kick off at 4 pm. 

After the thirteen round matches, the traditional black and white Motijheel outfit Mohammedan dominated the league table with 34 points from 13 matches while Fortis Football Club stand seventh position in the table with 18 points playing the same number of matches.

Defending champions Bashundhara Kings stand third position in the league table with 24 points from 13 matches while the all orange Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union Club place fifth position in the league table with 19 points playing the same number of outings.

Dhaka Wanderers Club, struggling to skip relegation, stand ninth position in the league table with seven points from 13 matches while bottom-ranked Chittagong Abahani Limited, who are also struggling to skip relegation have three points playing the same number of matches.  

Earlier, in the first leg, Mohammedan edged past Fortis Football Club at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla, Bashundhara played out to a 1-1 with Brothers Union Club at Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital and Dhaka EWanderers Club beat Chittagong Abahani Limited by a solitary goal held at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur. 
 
Meanwhile in the remaining fourteen round matches on the following day (Saturday), Abahani Limited, Dhaka will play against Bangladesh Police Football Club at Mymensingh district Stadium in Mymensingh while old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society take on Fakirerpool Young Men's Club at Birshreshtha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
