Six kabaddi players get payment

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS)-Six Bangladeshi kabaddi players, who participated in the franchise kabaddi league in Nepal, received their payment today (Thursday).

Each player received the equivalent of $1,000. The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) has disbursed the money received from Nepal to the players.

The six Bangladeshi players, who participated in the Nepal Kabaddi League, are Monirul Chowdhury, Yasin Arafat, Mizanur Rahman, Shah Mohammad Shahan, Sabuj Mia and Roman Hossain.

BKF general secretary SM Newaz Sohag said that participating in the franchise Kabaddi league has opened doors of opportunity for Bangladesh.

He said money is not a big deal here rather he sees the opportunity of participation in the franchise kabaddi league has opened a door for the players.

The franchise kabaddi league was held in Nepal in January with the participation of six teams.
