Swimming, football, athletics training concludes

DHAKA, May 13, 2025 (BSS)- The closing ceremony of swimming, football and athletics training concluded in Mymensingh district stadium today, said a press release.

The training programme organized under the management of the Mymensingh district sports office under the annual sports programme of the Sports Directorate.

The football, athletics and swimming training for U-15 boys and girls began at Mymensingh district stadium, ladies club ground and Mymensingh swimming complex respectively on April 21 last.

Forty boys and equal number of girls got the opportunity to participate in each event.

The certificates were distributed among the trainees at the closing ceremony of this twenty one sessions training. 

Mymensingh district swimming coach Md. Abdus Samad Kajal, football coach Md. Emdadul Haque (Tutul) and athletes coach  Monowar Hossain Monir, athletics coaches Sohel Rana, Md. Atiqur Bashar and Md. Mahbubur Alam Ratan were present in the closing ceremony.

The programme was presided over by Mymensingh district sports officer Al-Amin. 
Talented football players selected from the training will participate for the selection of Mymensingh divisional team for the Development Cup football tournament.

While athletes and swimmers, who participated in the training, will have the opportunity to take part in the divisional selection for the National Junior Athletics and National Junior Swimming competitions organized by the Sports Directorate.
