DHAKA, May 16, 2025 (BSS)-Visiting South African Women's Emerging team
leveled the three-match T20 series against Bangladesh Emerging side with a
36-run victory in a low-scoring second match at Cox's Bazar Cricket Academy
Ground today.

Bangladesh Women's Emerging team won the first match by five wickets.

Electing to bat first, South African Emerging team were restricted to a
meager 115-8 with Luyanda Nzuza making highest 30. Verunissa Reddy was not
out on 25 and played a key role in helping the side past 100-run mark which
looked unlikely with Shorna Akter tearing apart South African batting line
up.

Shorna ended with 3-20 and was ably supported by Sabikun Nahar Jesmin who
took 2-18.

Bangladesh, however, put a disastrous batting show to be all out for just 79
in 16.2 overs with no batter reaching 20-run mark. Afia Ashima was the
highest scorer with 17. Shorna Akter who hit a half-century to lead the side
to the victory in the first game made 16 this time.

The series deciding third match is on Sunday. Earlier, Bangladesh Women's
Emerging team won the three-match one-day series by 2-1.
