DHAKA, July 16, 2025 (BSS) - The National Sports Council announced the new ad-hoc committee of the Bangladesh Shooting Federation, dissolving the prior executive, according to a circular issued today (Wednesday).

Rezaul Maksud Jahedi, secretary to the Local Government Division, has been appointed as the president of this much-awaited committee while veteran sports organiser and actress Aleya Ferdousi has been named as the general secretary of the 19-member committee.

Roma Rouf Chowdhury and Abdus Salam Khan have been appointed as the vice presidents of this committee.

Following the fall of last government on August 5 last year, a five-member search committee was formed to create ad-hoc committee at all sports federations and associations, abolishing the existing executive committee. The shooting federation is one of the last among fifty two federations to get an ad-hoc committee.

However football and cricket have been kept out from the formation. Only the committee of the women's sports association has not been announced yet.
