BHOLA, July 18, 2025 (BSS)- A symbolic mini marathon was held in the district 
in memory of the July movement fighters. 

The marathon, a long-distance foot race, was officially inaugurated by Bhola 
Deputy Commissioner Md. Azad Jahan today (Friday).

Nearly 50 participants from the family members of martyrs, injured fighters 
and people from different classes and professions took part in the three 
kilometer long race.

Competitors from different areas gathered in front of the district 
administration office since early morning. After completing registration, 
this symbolic mini marathon started at 9 am from the Chowmuhani area of the 
municipal town and ended at the District Administrator Office.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Md. Azad Jahan handed over the crests to the 
participants.

According to the organisers and participants, this exceptional event was 
organised to commemorate the historic July Movement held last year. 

They said that such an event would inspire them in the struggle of the 
future.
