Mini Marathon held in Manikganj

Manikganj, July 18, 2025 (BSS) - A Mini Marathon was held today on the 
occasion of "July Mass Uprising Day -2025" under the auspices of Manikganj 
District Administration.

The marathon, a long-distance foot race, started from Paloma Government 
Primary School premises and ended at the Manikganj Government High School 
playground after crossing six kilometers. The people of all walks of lives 
including the students of different schools and colleges and the sports 
personalities.

A total of 38 male and two female took part in the long-distance foot race.

After completion of the event, certificates and medals were distributed among 
the winners.

In the male group, Polash Sheikh received the First prize while Shrikanto 
Haldar received second prize, Ashiqur Rahman got the third prize and Amir 
Hamza and Md. Arzu received the fourth and fifth prize respectively.

In the female group, Liza Aktar received the champion prize.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Manwar Hossein Malla was present in the prize 
distribution ceremony as the chief guest.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Manikganj District Council Mehedi Hasan, ADC 
(Gen) Atiqul Mamun, ADC (Rev) Mohammad Ali, ADC (Educational and ICT) 
Mohammad Nazmul Hasan Khan, District Sports Officer Ferdousy Akhtar, Deputy 
Director of Youth Development Department Aloka Prova, Manikganj Press Club 
General Secretary Shahanur Islam and Manikganj District Scouts Secretary 
Sarkar Masud, among others, were present on the occasion.
