Chess Mate dominants top of points table

DHAKA, Oct 4, 2025 (BSS)-Chess Mate is at top of the points table with 14  points after the 8th or penultimate round of the 2nd Division Chess League  held at Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall-Room today. 

Rajpara Chess Club is in second place with 13 points.  Chess Mate Alpha, Bangladesh Chess Arena and Asad Chess Club, Habiganj 
jointly shared the 3rd positions with 11 points. Six teams are at fourth place with ten points each.

The teams are: Debonair Chess Club, Ipsha Chess, Pawn Power Chess Club, Dabar  Troiye Agrage Smaran Sangha, Mollah Chess Club and Chess Code Academy,  Chittagong. 

In the day's 8th round matches, Check Mate defeated Pin Chess Power by 3-1  game points, Rajpara Chess Club defeated Ipsha Chess by 2.5-1.5 game points,  Asad Chess Club, Habiganj defeated Malibagh Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game  points, Pawn Power Chess Club defeated Goalundo Chess Club by 3.5-0.5 game  points, Chess Code Academy, Chittagong defeated Mondal Sporting Club,  Rajshahi by 2.5-1.5 game points, Debonair Chess Club defeated Pioneer Chess  Club by 3-1 game points and Dabaru Spandan Chess Club defeated Mohammadpur 
Chess Club by 3.5-0.5 game points. Check Mate Alpha drew with Bangladesh  Chess Arena by 2-2 game points and Mollah Chess Club drew with Dabar Troiye  Agrage Smaran Sangah by 2-2 game points.
