DHAKA, Oct 5, 2025 (BSS) -The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Bangladesh 
Tourism Board (BTB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to 
work together in promoting Bangladesh as a cricket tourism destination. 

The agreement outlines a cooperative framework between the two organisations 
to highlight the country's tourism potential through cricket and to create 
opportunities that bring together sport and culture on both national and 
international platforms.

As part of the MoU, the BCB and BTB will collaborate on joint campaigns, 
promotional activities, and destination-based initiatives such as trophy 
tours, cultural events and curated travel packages. Both parties will also 
work with tour operators, hotels, and travel agencies to develop cricket 
tourism packages designed for domestic and overseas visitors, a BCB press 
release stated. 

 "This partnership reflects our shared vision of projecting Bangladesh not 
only as a cricketing nation but also as a unique tourism destination. We are 
confident that cricket, being one of the strongest unifying forces in the 
country, will play an important role in promoting Bangladesh globally," BCB 
President Aminul Islam Bulbul said.

"Tourism and cricket together create a powerful platform to present 
Bangladesh's rich heritage, culture and natural beauty. Through this 
collaboration, we aim to enhance international awareness and attract more 
visitors to experience Bangladesh."

Chief Executive Officer of BTB Nuzhat Yasmin welcomed the initiative and the 
possibilities, saying that "This partnership between the BCB and BTB will 
create exciting opportunities for tourism in Bangladesh and will also help 
strengthen market connections for stakeholders for drawing more visitors to 
our country through cricket."

Cricket Tourism Advisor of the BCB President's Advisory Committee Md 
Shakawath Hossain, BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, 
Director Admin and Finance of BTB Abu Salim Mahmud-Ul Hasan, BTB's Director 
Marketing Planning & Public Relation Saleha Binte Siraj and officials of both 
organisations were present at the MoU signing programme held at the BTB 
office in Dhaka.
