Pakistan win toss, bat against South Africa in second Test

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Pakistan captain Shan Masood won the toss and decided to bat in the second and final Test against South Africa in Rawalpindi on Monday.

Pakistan, who won the first Test in Lahore by 93 runs, entered the match with three spinners and one seamer in Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The hosts handed 38-year-old left-armer Asif Afridi a Test debut, in addition to the duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, dropping fast bowler Hasan Ali.

South Africa brought in experienced spinner Keshav Maharaj and fast bowler Marco Jansen in place of Prenelan Subrayen and Wiaan Mulder.
