PWD register 1st win in BFL

DHAKA, Oct 20, 2025 (BSS) - PWD Sports Club registered their first win in the 
Bangladesh Football League when they edged past Arambagh Krira Sangha by a 
solitary goal held at Shaheed Miraz-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj today 
(Monday).

In the day's match, Uzbek forward Akobir Turaev scored the all-important goal 
for PWD in the 22nd minute of the match.

Arambagh, however, tried their best to stage a fight back in the match but 
they could not score any in the remaining proceeding.

Earlier in the first round, PWD forced Bashundhara Kings to play a 2-2 goal 
draw while Arambagh were held by Fakirerpool Young Men's Club playing out to 
a 1-1 goal draw.
