DHAKA, Oct 24, 2025 (BSS) - The 8th Daffodil Captain Cup Golf Tournament was formally inaugurated at the Kurmitola Golf Club today, said a press release.

Lieutenant General Mohammad Shahinul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, along with Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil Family, formally inaugurated the three-day meet as the chief guest.

Professor Dr M. R. Kabir, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University; Dr Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Family; Professor Dr Mohammad Masum Iqbal, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr Mohammed Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar; and Major (Retd.) Arman Ali Bhuyan, Project Director (Development) of Daffodil International University, were also present at the opening ceremony.

A total of 650 male and female golfers from home and abroad are taking part in the tournament in different categories.
