Mohammad Amir joins Sylhet Titans through direct signing

DHAKA, Nov 27, 2025 (BSS) - Pakistan pace spearhead Mohammad Amir Joined Sylhet 
Titans to play the upcoming edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Sylhet franchise confirmed the new through a press release, saying that they 
acquired service of the veteran pacer through direct signing. 

Amir was the part of Sylhet franchise earlier.

"Having previously played for a Sylhet team, his return to the franchise 
feels like a homecoming," the press release said.

Amir is the second signing of Sylhet from Pakistan after they roped in his 
compatriot Siam Ayub, a talented allrounder who had proved his worth in the 
International cricket.

"Amir is one of the most recognized and successful fast bowlers in world 
cricket. The former Pakistan national team pacer has repeatedly showcased his 
skill, experience, and match-winning ability throughout his career," the 
release added.

The franchise hoped that 'With over a decade of experience in international 
cricket and various global leagues, Amir's inclusion strengthens Sylhet's 
pace attack and brings a reliable leader capable of performing under 
pressure.'

"His presence is expected to boost both team performance and dressing-room 
confidence."

The Sylhet Titans management stated that this signing reflects their ongoing 
commitment to bringing in top international talent and building a squad 
capable of competing for the title. 

Amir will join the team ahead of the tournament and begin preparations under 
the guidance of the coaching staff.

"Sylhet Titans are thrilled to welcome Mohammad Amir as the newest member of 
the family," the release concluded.

The franchise had already brought in two key Bangladeshi names, Mehidy Hasan 
Miraz and Nasum Ahmed, through direct signing earlier.

The players' auction of BPL is set to be held on November 30 at a local hotel 
in the city. The tournament begins on December 19.
