Bangladesh take on Nepal in SAFF semifinal tomorrow

DHAKA, March 31, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh will take on Nepal in the first semifinal of SAFF U-20 Championship scheduled to be held at National Football Stadium in capital Malé, Maldives tomorrow (Wednesday).

The match kicks off at 4.45 pm (BST). India will also meet Bhutan in the second semifinal on the same day and venue at 9.30 pm (BST). 

Bangladesh earlier finished group B as runners-up to reach the semifinal. The boys in red and green defeated Pakistan by 2-0 goals in their opening group match and played out to a 1-1 draw with India in their second and ultimate group match.

On the other hand, Nepal emerged group A champions to reach the last four stage. On way to the semifinal, they beat Bhutan 2-1, defeated Sri Lanka 1-0 and played out to a 1-1 draw with Maldives.

The final of the tournament is slated for April 3 at the same venue.
