DHAKA, April 4, 2026 (BSS)- State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque has extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the players, coaches and officials of the Bangladesh U-20 football team for winning the SAFF U-20 Championship title beating India by 4-3 in the final.
In a message, the State Minister said, "The indomitable spirit and skill that our young footballers have displayed is a source of great pride for the entire nation. Winning this title by defeating India has opened a new horizon for Bangladesh football. This fighting spirit on the field makes us dream of greater success in the future."
In recognition of the players' outstanding achievements, the State Minister also announced a special cash reward for the Bangladesh team. He hoped that this patronage and encouragement from the government would inspire the young players to play better in the future.
The State Minister further said that the present government is committed to improving the quality of sports in the country and all necessary steps would be taken to bring out talented footballers from the grassroots level.
