The deceased, Md. Monim Al Hasan, 28, was the son of Mojam Sheikh of Sundarghona village.

According to eyewitnesses, Monim was riding a motorcycle into the city from the Khanjahan Ali Dargah area when his bike collided head-on with an oncoming auto-rickshaw at the Ranbijoypur intersection. The impact threw him onto the road, and he is believed to have died on the spot from severe head injuries and excessive bleeding.
