Khulna, Apr 4, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested a 20-year-old youth with 10,300 yaba tablets in Khulna while he was attempting to transport the drugs to Dhaka.

The arrestee, Naim, son of Md. Miraj Sheikh from Louhajang in Munshiganj, was detained this morning from the Koia Bazar area under Harintana Police Station.

Acting on a tip-off about a large drug shipment from Satkhira, police set up a checkpoint in the area. At around 12:30 pm, they stopped a Dhaka-bound bus of "Tungipara Express."

During the search, Naim's suspicious behavior drew attention. Police later recovered 52 packets of yaba tablets from a mobile phone bag in his possession.

Police said he was carrying the drugs from Satkhira to Dhaka for smuggling. He is being interrogated, and legal action is underway.
