DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh will host Pakistan for a two-match Test series next month, with matches scheduled in Mirpur and Sylhet as part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The Pakistan team is set to arrive in Dhaka on May 3 ahead of the series. The first Test will begin on May 8 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, while the second Test will start on May 16 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Originally, Pakistan was expected to play both ODI and Test series together. However, the tour has been split into two phases due to scheduling conflicts with the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Bangladesh had earlier won the three-match ODI series 2-1.
The upcoming Tests will be crucial for both sides in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle. Bangladesh last featured in the competition during their tour of Sri Lanka last year, where they lost one match and drew the other.
Bangladesh and Pakistan last met in a Test series in 2023, when Bangladesh secured a historic clean sweep. Prior to that, Bangladesh had struggled against Pakistan, managing just one draw in 13 matches.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has also announced the schedule for the upcoming limited-overs series against Pakistan and Australia.
The ODI matches are slated for June 9, 11 and 14, followed by three T20 Internationals on June 17, 19 and 21.
The ODIs will begin at 11:00 am, while the T20 matches are scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
