Mohammedan post comfortable win over PWD in BFL

DHAKA, April 25, 2026 (BSS) - Mohammedan Sporting Club registered a comfortable 3-1 victory over PWD Sports Club in the Bangladesh Football League match held on Saturday at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.

Mohammedan took an early lead when midfielder Mohammed Jewel Mia struck in the 15th minute, giving the Motijheel-based side a crucial advantage in the first half.

PWD SC fought back strongly after the break and restored parity in the 85th minute through forward Mohammed Abdullah, setting up a tense finish to the match.

However, the celebration was short-lived as Uzbek midfielder Muzaffar Muzaffarov scored the second goal for Mohammedan in the 89th minute from a spot kick and forward Rafayel Tudu sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Mohammedan 90+6th minute, sealing all three points for Mohammedan in dramatic fashion.

With this victory, Mohammedan climbed to fifth place in the league table with 17 points from 14 matches. PWD SC remains in the lower half of the standings with 13 points from the same number of games, continuing to face relegation pressure.
