Mahtab, Hasnain elected president, secretary of ICMAB

DHAKA, Jan 27, 2025 (BSS) - Mahtab Uddin Ahmed has been elected as President of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) while Hasnain Thoufiq Ahmed as Secretary for 2025. 

The council meeting of ICMAB was held on Sunday night at its office, said a press release today.

Kausar Alam and Abdul Matin Patwary were elected as vice-presidents while Md Maksudur Rahman as treasurer.

Mahtab Uddin Ahmed is the Founder of BuildCon Consultancies Limited and BuildNations Ltd. He previously served as the CEO and Managing Director of Robi Axiata. Ahmed holds both honors and masters in accounting from University of Dhaka with distinction. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (AMP 190) and IMB Switzerland and has also completed several advanced programs with INSEAD.

Kausar Alam currently is serving as the group chief financial officer (CFO) and company secretary of seven rings cement Bangladesh and also as the director of Janata Bank. 

Abdul Matin Patwary has served as the chief financial officer (CFO) at Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited. Patwary also worked as the finance director of BASF Bangladesh Ltd. Before being elected Vice-President, he held the position of Treasurer at ICMAB, showcasing his financial expertise and leadership skills.

Hasnain Thoufiq Ahmed is currently working as the Group Business CEO of Rahimafrooz Group. Md. Maksudur Rahman is currently the CEO of EDISON Logistics Ltd.
