ACC’s public hearing at Niphamari Shilpakala Academy tomorrow

DHAKA, April 19, 2025(BSS) -The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will hold a public hearing for creating social awareness and preventing corruption at the Nilphamari Zila Shilpakala Academy auditorium at 10am tomorrow.

ACC Chairman Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen will be present at the public hearing as chief guest while it’s Commissioner (Investigation) Miah Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi will attend the function as special guest.

People from all walks of life who were harassed and deprived from getting services from different government offices of the district will raise their allegations at the hearing in presence of the bosses of the service providing offices, official sources said here today. The ACC officials will take immediate steps on hearing the allegation, the sources said.

The public hearing has been arranged to ensure government services and enhance honesty, sincerity, accountability and values among the government officers and employees for eradicating corruption, the sources added.

The ACC has taken up huge publicity campaign in the district headquarters through loudspeakers, posters, leaflets, setting up of booths and boxes to collect allegations during last seven days. As a result, people of the area have become very interested to join the public hearing.

The commission has requested all the conscious people of the district and the journalists from print and electronic media to be present at the public hearing to make it a success.
