127 pirates received RAB`s Eid gift

CHATTOGRAM, March 23, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today distributed Eid gifts among 127 rehabilitated pirates on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr at a function held at the Banshkhali Upazila hall room in the district. 

On behalf of the RAB Director General (DG), RAB-7 Commander Lt Col Md Hafizur Rahman distributed the gifts among them. 

These pirates surrendered to law enforcement agencies in Banshkhali of Chattogram, as well as the coastal areas of Moheshkhali, Kutubdia, and Pekua in Cox's Bazar, in 2018, 2020, and 2022. 

During the event, Lt Col Md Hafizur Rahman said, the RAB will support those who have reintegrated into normal life. We are working to revoke the cases filed against them and urge them not to revert to their previous way of life.

RAB-7 deputy director Major Sadman, officer-in-charge of Banshkhali police station Md Saiful Islam and upazila social welfare officer were present at the programme.
