SYLHET, March 24, 2025 (BSS) - Two persons were killed and another was 
injured in a road accident at Muktirgaon Notunbridge Point on Sylhet-Chhatak 
road under Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj district on Sunday evening.

The deceased were Md. Shahinur Islam, 34, son of Noab Ali of Karchkhali 
village in Kalaruka union and Humayun Rashid, 32, son of Faruk Mia of the 
same village.

The accident took place in the area when a speedy motorcycle hit a roadside 
standing truck as it was crossing an auto-rickshaw, leaving its rider and co 
riders critically injured, said Mukhlesur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of 
Chhatak Police Station.

The injured were taken to Chhatak Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty 
doctors declared two of them dead.

After autopsy, the bodies were handed over to the deceased's family members 
today, the OC added.
