Seeds, fertilizer distributed among 1,600 farmers in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH, March 24, 2025 (BSS) - The Department of Agricultural Extension 
(DAE) today distributed Aus paddy seeds and fertilizers among 1,600 small and 
marginal farmers of Sadar upazila to increase the paddy production in the 
Kharip-1 season.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Razia Akhter Chowdhury inaugurated the two-day 
seed and fertilizer distribution programme at the Sadar Upazila Agriculture 
Office this morning.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Noor A Nabi presided over the event. 

It was addressed, among others, by Additional Agriculture Officer Muhammad 
Junaid Habib and Agricultural Extension Officer Mir Rakibul Islam.

Each of the farmers will get five kilograms of seeds, 10-kg of Diammonium 
phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and 10-kg of muriate of potash (MOP) fertilizer.

A total of eight tonnes of seeds and 32 tonnes of fertilizer will be 
distributed among 1,600 farmers in Sadar upazila.
