2 motor bikers killed in Rajshahi train crash

RAJSHAHI, Mar 27, 2025 (BSS)- Two motorbike riders were crashed under the wheels of a running train at Belpukur railway gate under Puthiya Upazila in the district on Wednesday evening.

Faisal Bin Ahsan, OC of Railway Police Station, said the deceased are identified as Mijanur Rahman, 34, son of Abdur Razzaque, and Jahurul Islam, 35, son of Sulaiman Islam, both from Chandpur Bazar under Natore Sadar Upazila.

Quoting the eyewitnesses the OC said the bikers were trying to cross the rail gate defying signal when Banglabandha Express Train was approaching towards the level crossing.

A case of unnatural death was recorded with the railway police station in this connection and the bodies were handed over to their relatives, the OC added.
