BHOLA, March 27, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested five dacoits and recovered seven firearms from them at Tojumuddin of the district here.

The arrested were Md Harun Dafadar, 50, Md Rubel, 26, Md Kabir Majhee, 47, Md Yunus, 36, and Md Ferdous alias Heju, 40, Operation Officer of Coast Guard South Zone Lieutenant Commander Rifat Ahmed said.

Addressing a short briefing at coast guard base today, he said that the coast guard team conducted an operation based on secret information at Char Mozammel under Tojumuddin upazila at about midnight of March 26.

During the drive, the coast guard arrested them from Char Mozammel area and recovered seven firearms, recovered bullets and four rocket players from them, Ahmed said.

The arrested dacoits, he said, were active member of notorious robber's gang of Salauddin and they are residents of Char Mozammel.
 
They were handed over to local police for legal action.
