33 injured in Dinajpur road crash

DINAJPUR, May 26, 2025 (BSS) - At least 33 people were injured as a Bogura-
bound bus fell into a roadside ditch on Dinajpur-Gobindaganj road in 
Ghoraghat upazila of the district this afternoon.

The accident took place around 1.30 pm at Raniganj Gohati Charmatha 
intersection when a bus fell into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control 
over the steering, leaving its 33 passengers injured, said Inspector M Nazmul 
Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ghoraghat Police Station.

Local people rescued seriously injured nine people and admitted them to 
Ghoraghat Upazila Hospital. 

In addition, 11 more injured people were rescued and admitted to Birampur 
Upazila Health Complex while 13 people with minor injuries were given primary 
treatment at Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex, the OC added.
