One held with Yaba tablets in Rangpur city

RANGPUR, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 940 pieces of Yaba tablets from Modern Mour area in the city today.
 
The arrested was identified as Md Rana Mia, 23, son of Md Azaharul Islam of Sakuapara village in Badarganj upazila of the district.

On a tip-off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 conducted a raid in the area around 6:30 am today and nabbed  Rana from the spot, a RAB press release said this afternoon.

Besides, the RAB team found the contraband drugs after searching his body, it added.
 
After filing a case in this incident, the elite force handed over the arrested person to the Tajhat Metropolitan Police Station of Rangpur
