LALMONIRHAT, May 27, 2025 (BSS) - A minor girl drowned in a pond at Sialkhowa 
Nithok village of Chalbala union under Kaliganj upazila of the district this 
afternoon.

The deceased was Kripa Roy, 4, daughter of Sujan Chandra Roy of the same 
area.

Kripa Roy fell into the water body next to their house while she was playing 
beside it.

Later after searching, family members recovered the boy from the pond.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station Selim Malik confirmed the 
incident.
