KCC officials asked for quick removal of animal waste on Eid day

     KHULNA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) - Administrator of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Md Firoz Sarkar here today asked officials and employees to take all necessary measures for quick removal of animal waste and clean Khulna city on Eid day.

     Ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, he called upon all officials and employees for overseeing animal waste removal activities.

     Firoz Sarkar, who is also the Divisional commissioner, was speaking while presiding the 5th meeting of the committee formed to ensure the smooth operation of KCC, held at the Shaheed Altaf Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban. 

     The KCC administrator emphasized the importance of designated areas for animal sacrifice to ensure a hygienic environment in the city. He instructed conservancy department officials and staff to remain constantly active for the prompt removal of animal waste. 

     The meeting decided to reduce the lease rate for sacrificial animal markets, organized by KCC from 5 percent to 4 percent in observance of Eid-ul-Azha. 

     It also resolved to take necessary measures to ensure animal sacrifices are carried out in designated areas to maintain a healthy environment in the city.
