SATKHIRA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - A team combining Army personnel and Police members in a drive have arrested three drug peddlers including top drug ringleader Anjuara along with arms and drugs here in the district.

On information, the joint forces conducted the drive in Garerkanda area of Satkhira city from 8pm to 10.30pm on Sunday night.

The arrestees were identified as top drug ringleader Anjuara, her son Asif and Abdur Rahim, son of Shahidul Islam.

Army sources said the team also recovered three chapattis, two axes, a knife, seven pen knives, one stick, 26 pieces of Yaba tablets, Tk 1,34,160 in cash, three android phones and five button phones form their possession.

"Detainee Anjuara is widely known as 'drug queen' for long time", said Captain Nahid who led the drive. 

There are multiple cases against her, he added.

The arrestees along with the recovered bandits have been handed over to Satkhira Sadar Police Station, said Officer in Charge (OC) of Satkhira Sadar Police station Shaminul Huq.
