One killed in septic tank explosion in Ashulia

SAVAR, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and five others were injured in a septic tank explosion in Ashulia this morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Rabbani, 45, who worked as a caretaker of the house.

The incident occurred in the morning at a tin-shed house in the South Para area of Bhadail, Ashulia, owned by Rahmat Ullah. 

Police and fire service members visited the scene after receiving information.

The tin-shed house collapsed in the explosion. Abdul Rabbani, caretaker of the house, died on the spot, and at least five people were injured.

The injured were rescued and admitted to various hospitals, including Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ashulia Police Station Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter and said the body of the deceased was handed over to the family members.
