Freedom Fighter Molla Khabir Uddin passes away

NARAIL, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - Former general secretary of Narail District BNP and former president of the district bar association valiant Freedom Fighter Advocate Molla Khabir Uddin passed away at his home in Mahishkhola of the district town on Friday afternoon.

He was 88.

Molla Khabir Uddin was suffering from old age-related illnesses. He is survived by five sons, one daughter, grandchildren, and numerous well-wishers to mourn his death.

A guard of honour was given to him at the Narail Central Eidgah Maidan after the namaz-e-janaza at 2pm on Saturday.

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sanchita Bishwas paid tribute to the coffin of the deceased.

He was buried at the Narail Municipal Graveyard.

District BNP President Bishwas Jahangir Alam, General Secretary Md Monirul Islam, Ziaur Rahman Foundation Chief Advisor Dr Ahmed Shafiqul Haider Parvez, BNP and Zia Parishad leader Professor B.M. Nagib Hossain, Sadar Upazila BNP President Bir Muktijoddha Mustafizur Rahman Alek, General Secretary Mozahidur Rahman Palash, and District Bar Association President Advocate Tariquzzaman Litu expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Molla Khabir Uddin and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
