RAB arrests drug trader with 1,950 yaba tablets in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 22, 2025 (BSS) -Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a raid 
in the Mirzarpool area of the city last night and arrested a suspected drug 
trader with 1,950 yaba tablets.

The detainee, identified as Mir Mosharraf Hossain, 45, of Maheshkhali in 
Cox's Bazar, was found carrying the yaba tablets hidden inside a light-brown 
shoulder bag.

According to RAB Senior Assistant Director ARM Mozzaffar Hossain, the raid 
was carried out based on confidential intelligence about drug trafficking 
activities in a flat under Panchlaish Police Station. A team from RAB-7, 
Chattogram, conducted the operation and recovered the contraband worth an 
estimated Taka 6 lakh.

The suspect and the seized drugs have been handed over to Panchlaish Model 
Police Station for legal action.

A case has been filed at Panchlaish Thana in connection with the incident.
