Two-day 'Election Journalism Training' begins in Magura

MAGURA, Jan 19, 2026 (BSS) - The two-day 'Election Journalism Training' for local journalists began today, aimed at enhancing the professional skills of journalists ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Organized by the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), the training is being held at Magura Press Club conference room and brings together 50 journalists from Magura and Rajbari districts. 

Magura Press Club President Professor Saidur Rahman presided over the inaugural session. Senior journalist Sharmin Rinvi, PIB coordinator Shah Alam, and librarian Md Jahangir Hossain were present as resource persons, responsible, and professional reporting during election sharing insights on ethical periods.

The training aims to enhance journalists' skills and awareness to ensure accurate, balanced, and credible coverage during the election process.
