PIROJPUR, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS) - All preparations have been completed to ensure free and fair voting in the three parliamentary constituencies of the district for the 13th national parliament election, officials said.

More than 8,000 members of law enforcement agencies will be deployed across the district to maintain security at 418 polling stations. In addition, 32 executive magistrates will be on duty to oversee election activities and ensure compliance with electoral laws.

According to district administration and election office sources, 140 of the 418 polling stations have been identified as important or risky. Authorities have arranged additional surveillance and security measures at these centers to prevent any untoward incidents.

CCTV cameras have been installed at every polling station. The stations will be monitored round the clock from the offices of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, who serves as Assistant Returning Officer, and the District Returning Officer.

Superintendent of Police Mohammad Manzur Ahmed Siddiqui said that alongside CCTV monitoring, 134 online body cameras and 132 offline body cameras have been supplied to police personnel. "This will enable us to monitor the field-level situation instantly and take necessary measures," he said.

Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayeed expressed confidence in the arrangements, stating, "We are fully prepared to conduct a free and fair election. With more than 8,000 law enforcement officers deployed and CCTV cameras installed at every polling station, each center will be monitored round the clock."

Election materials are being dispatched to various centers under tight security, officials added.
