BOGURA, March 19, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 1,662 Eid congregations will be held at Eidgah grounds and mosques across the district on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.

The main Eid congregation will take place at the Sutrapur Central Eidgah ground in the town at 8:00 am. The prayer will be led by Maulana Asgar Ali, Khatib of the Bogura Central Grand Mosque, while Mufti Maulana Abdul Kader will remain present as the alternate Imam. Special arrangements have been made for the women to offer Eid prayers at the central Eidgah.

In addition, Eid congregations will be held at different locations in the town at different times. Prayers will be held at Jamil Madrasa at 7:00 am, followed by a congregation at 7:30 am at the Government Azizul Haque College Eidgah.
Eid congregations will be held at Katnarpara, Malgram-Chilimur, Fulbari North and Maddyapara Graveyard Central Eidgah and Maltinagar Central Eidgah at 7:45 am.

Eid prayers will take place at Shyambaria Central Eidgah and Brindabanpara Eidgah at 8:15 am.

Congregations will be held at Altafunnesa Playground, Baitus Salam Jame Mosque adjacent Eidgah, Coronation Institution ground and Islamnagar-Harigari Eidgah. At the same time, the Bogura district unit of Jamaat-e-Ahle Hadith will organize a congregation at the Bogura Zilla School ground, where women will also be allowed to participate at 8:30 am.

Superintendent of Police Mirza Sayeem Mahmud said that necessary measures have been taken to ensure overall security in the district during the Eid. He added that law enforcement agencies are working to ensure a peaceful and festive atmosphere. 

A three-tier security measures will be in place at the central Eidgah ground.
