Eid gifts distributed among 2000 underprivileged people in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, March 20, 2026 (BSS) - Eid gifts have been distributed among 2,000 underprivileged and destitute people in the district.
 
Principal Shamsul Haque Foundation hosted the programme on Thursday at Ramdeo Bazla Government High School ground in the town.
 
Moktadul Haque Adnan, son of the late former convenor of district BNP and principal Shamsul Haque, and member secretary of the district Jubo Dal, handed over the Eid items to the families. 
 
The items included polao rice, flour, sugar, shemai, oil, and powder milk.
 
Former principal of Joypurhat Government College Abdul Majid; vice-president of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society Joypurhat unit and member of the district BNP convening committee Matiur Rahman; district Jubo Dal convenor ATM Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvro, among others, were present.
