RANGPUR, March 20, 2026 (BSS) – To welcome visitors from the Eid-ul-Fitr day, concerned authorities have colorfully decorated their entertainment centers and tourist attractions in Rangpur with special arrangements along with improved facilities.
 
The tourist attractions, entertainment facilities and bridges built on rivers, parks and other attractive places in Rangpur and surrounding areas are now quite ready in a new look on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to entertain the people of all ages. 
  
Like previous years, this year too, hundreds of entertainment lovers, including teenagers, children, young people, men and women are likely to flock to entertainment centers in Rangpur starting tomorrow, the holy day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
 
Special arrangements have been made for visitors at popular places in the city, including Rangpur Zoo Children's Park, Surovi Entertainment Park, Town Hall Square, Tajhat Zamindar Bari and Museum, Chikley Entertainment Park, Shirin Park, Proyas Sena Park, Collectorate Surovi Udyan, Chikley Water Park and Rupkotha Theme Park.   
 
Apart from this, the concerned authorities have made special arrangements for visitors to popular places such as Ganjipur Vinnojagat Entertainment Center, Annnodanagar in Pirganj, Maya Bhuban in Badarganj, Teesta Park in Kawnia, and Ali Baba Theme Park and Taj Ecoventure in Pirgachha upazila, Mahipur Ghat and Teesta Bridge in Gangachara upazila and Fakirbari Rural Museum in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur.
 
The Chikley Water Park is considered the largest amusement park in Rangpur city, with the largest number of facilities and rides for the entertainment of people of all ages, including children.
 
The eco-friendly entertainment facility with 100 acres Water Park is a floating water park located in the heart of Rangpur metropolis. 
 
In addition to water rides, this park has a children's play area, a huge swing and train, a beautiful green garden, an artificial fountain, and various types of toys including speed boards in the water park. 
 
Rangpur Zoo Children's Park, the second largest zoo in the country and the largest in Northbengal, is located in the heart of the city. The zoo is spread over an area of 22 acres. 
 
There is a collection of more than fifty rides for children. There is also a ghost cave and an artificial lake.
 
There are various species of animals, notable among them are the Royal Bengal tigers of the Sundarbans, lions, rhinos, hippos, deer, monkeys, leopards, bears, crocodiles, pythons, turtles and many other animals. 
 
There are also various species of birds including mynah, tia, peacock, cockatoo, pigeon, Bucks and storks. 
 
The largest picnic and entertainment spot and tourist center in Rangpur district is Vinnojagat Entertainment Center set up in Bangladesh's first amazing planetarium at Ganjipur in the confluence of Rangpur Sadar and Gangachara upazilas.
 
In the planetarium, visitors can learn about the history of the creation of the world through the 'Big Bang' theory. 
 
The visitors won't believe it unless they visit the Vinnojagat Entertainment Center, there is another different world inside. 
 
Surrounded by greenery, this entertainment center has, in addition to the planetarium, strange caves, Taj Mahal, Moscow Bell, Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China, trains and airplanes too to entertain anyone. 
 
Various species of birds have nested in the trees surrounded by greenery where visitors will not get tired inside. There are also accommodation facilities here to spend a quiet time. 
 
There is also a three-star model Dream Palace and a bird sanctuary. There is a shopping mall, a modern conference and community center, a skill test and robot zone. 
 
There is also a huge swimming pool in the Vinnojagat Entertainment Center where visitors can get the feeling of the sea and tranquility for a small amount of money. 
 
Tajhat Zamindar Bari and Museum is an attractive place to visit in Rangpur city. It has historical importance. 
 
Anandanagar entertainment center is located in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur. Little far from Rangpur city to the east, it is an ideal entertainment center with modern facilities, noise-free, and beautiful scenery. 
 
To forget the daily fatigue and enjoy pure joy, there are various attractive rides here such as Nagordola, Mini Train, Ice Land, Water Wheel, Rope Well, Titanic, boat trip, tea wheel, planetarium, which give joy to everyone from young to old alike. 
 
On this Eid-ul-Fitr, thousands of people are likely to flock to Rangpur's different entertainment centers, places of tourists’ attractions and amusement from tomorrow like previous years. 
 
With water sports at Chikley Water Park, cultural programs at Annnodanagar and historical tours at Tajhat Zamindar Bari, the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be joyful, diverse and peaceful this year for Rangpur residents and tourists from outside. 
 
Meanwhile, security measures have been strengthened in the country's amusement parks, park areas and public gathering places ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. 
 
Law enforcement agencies said that special surveillance is being carried out to strengthen security and avoid possible risks due to the large gathering of people during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
 
Rangpur Metropolitan Police deployed additional police in the city's parks, amusement centers and important establishments and increased intelligence surveillance and patrols on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to prevent theft, robbery and chaos.
 
Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Majid Ali said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, there will be surveillance in plain clothes as well as in uniform to ensure that no untoward incident occurs in amusement parks.
