One held with huge consignment of drugs in Lalmonirhat

RANGPUR, March 29, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has arrested an alleged drug dealer with a huge consignment of Phensedyl-like drugs from village Talukdulali (Jharirjhar) under Aditmari police station of Lalmonirhat on Saturday afternoon.

The seized drugs included Phensedyl-like 295 bottles of Fairdyl syrup, 331 bottles of Eskuf syrup and one bottle of Zotexa syrup, totaling 627 bottles, a press release said here this afternoon. 

On a tip off, a smart team of the RAB-13’s Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) from Rangpur Camp, in the raid searched the residence of the arrested person and seized the huge quantity of contraband drugs from the spot at 5:35 pm.

The arrestee was identified as Md Saiful Islam, 45, son of late Ashir Uddin of village Talukdulali (Jharirjhar) under Aditmari police station of Lalmonirhat district.

After filing a case i, the elite force handed over the arrested person along with the seized drugs to the Aditmari police station in Lalmonirhat district for further legal action, the release added.
