Tk 60,000 fined over hoarding edible oil in Satkhira

KHULNA, April 13, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court comprising members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) and Satkhira district administration has fined Tk 60,000 on charge of hoarding edible oil in Satkhira.

On information, the joint team conducted a drive in Debhata area in Satkhira, fined and realized Tk 50,000 from Lucky Store over illegally hoarding 6,800 liters of mustered and rice bran edible oil, said a RAB-6 press release last night.

In a separate drive, the team fined and realized Tk 10,000 from the residence of Ferdous Morol for illegally holding edible oil in Moutala area under Kaliganj of Satkhira.

During the drives, members of RAB-6 CPC-1, Department of Consumers Rights Preservation, Market Operating Committee and executive magistrate Md Shahed Hossain, among others, were present, the press release added.
