Two business establishments fined for illegally storing diesel in Netrokona

NETROKONA, April 16, 2026 (BSS) - In a mobile court operation here today, two business establishments in Sadar upazila were fined a total of Taka 40,000 for illegally storing 3,100 liters of diesel.

The seized fuel, with an estimated market value of Taka 2,95,000, was confiscated by authorities and forfeited to the government.

Based on information, a raid took place at Thakurakona Bazar this noon, led by Md Shamsuzzaman Asif, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of Netrokona Sadar.

According to court sources, 'Ms. Shankar Saha Enterprise' and 'Ms. Rajib Traders’, were fined separately for storing diesel without authorization. 

The two business establishments were fined Taka 20,000 each.
