RMP imposes restrictions to control noise pollution during SSC exams

RAJSHAHI, April 20, 2026 (BSS) - The Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has issued special directives to control noise pollution so that the academic environment is not disrupted in any way during the SSC and equivalent examinations beginning tomorrow.

According to the directives issued in a notification signed by RMP Police Commissioner Dr Md Zillur Rahman today, loudspeakers cannot be used in public places or nearby areas without permission.

Singing or playing music, either vocally or with instruments, in any premises or residence without permission is also prohibited.

The RMP has stated that legal action will be taken against anyone violating these directives.

The restrictions have been imposed under the relevant provisions of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Act, 1992.
