RAJSHAHI, April 22, 2026 (BSS) - A woman was killed and two others, including her husband were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw in the Octroi Mor area under Motihar Police Station in Rajshahi city this morning.

The deceased was identified as Bedena Begum, wife of Rezzak of Talishabaspur village under Durgapur Police Station in Rajshahi.

The accident occurred around 11 am when a bus collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw, crushing it and leaving the passengers critically injured, police said.

Locals rescued the injured and took them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), where the on-duty doctors declared Bedena Begum dead on arrival.
